They’re being interviewed by Sean Rafferty ahead of their concert at Wigmore Hall this Saturday, 22nd, 7.30pm. Audience (and Trio) favourite, Beethoven’s “Archduke” Op.97 is paired with Schumann’s “Phantasiestücke” Op.88 and Haydn’s E-flat trio HXV:30. “Time to Time”, which The Guardian called “an eclectic ear-opener of a disc, virtuosically played”, was released by Meridian records and features music by Ives, Copland and Barber as well as new music by Stuart MacRae, Joe Duddell and Tim Jackson. The luscious baritone voice of Mark Stone, currently appearing as the title role in Don Giovanni at Deutsche Oper, Berlin features in a number of beautiful new arrangements for voice and brass quintet.

Description: Onyx continue their Scottish tour with a concert at the Institute in the historic village of New Lanark.
The programme will include music from Gabrieli to the present day, including some new arrangements of Brahms piano and organ works, written especially for the group, as well as works commissioned by Onyx from composers they have enjoyed working with over their 21 years at the top of the international brass chamber music scene.
(Onyx will also be running a workshop at Lanark Grammar School on the 21st)
